Wandora ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Wandora mobile application ("the App").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Display name
• Profile photo URL (if signing in with Google or Apple)

Travel Data

Information you voluntarily provide about your travels:

• Countries and cities you've visited, lived in, or wish to visit
• Travel dates
• Journal entries (titles and text content)

Authentication Data

We support sign-in through Apple, Google, and email/password. Authentication is handled securely through Firebase Authentication. We do not store your passwords directly.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Provide and maintain the App's core functionality
• Display your travel history on the interactive map
• Generate travel statistics and milestones
• Sync your data across your devices
• Improve the App experience

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) with the following protections:

• Data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
• Firebase Security Rules ensure users can only access their own data
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication — for secure sign-in
• Cloud Firestore — for data storage
• Firebase Analytics — for anonymous usage statistics (no personal data is tracked)
• OpenStreetMap — for map tiles (no personal data is sent)

Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review Google Firebase Privacy Policy.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data. Your travel data may only be shared when:

• You explicitly choose to share a story card via the share feature
• Required by law or legal process

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data through the App
• Edit your travel entries and journal at any time
• Delete individual visits, journal entries, or your entire account
• Export — we are working on data export functionality

To delete your account and all associated data, go to Profile → Delete Account in the App. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your data (profile, visits, journal entries) is permanently deleted from our servers.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
